Ugly people don't date

by michael on october 31, 2006

So my friend is quite shallow so he said that "ugly people don't deserve/have no right to date". He says it just sickens him when ugly people make out, and when ugly people flirt with each
other and cry/whine when they're heartbroken. He says that in
the history of all dramas, movies, etc, it's ALWAYS the good
looking people, or at least average people, who acts in them.
And if they're not (as in, they're ugly or fat), that IS the point
of the story; that they're ugly or fat, like "My Name is Kim Sam
Soon" ( i forgot if that's the name of the drama, but i'm sure you
all know which kdrama i'm talking about). And you know how
many dramas and movies are based on love stories. My friend
says it's sickening if it's ugly people who acts in these love
stories and act all lovey-dovey stories. He says "make a movie/drama where ugly/fat people are leads where the
theme of the story isn't around their bad looks, and let's
see if anyone will watch it". He then said "imagine fat, ugly
girl playing Song Hye Gyo's role in Full House, and a short,
fat guy play Rain in Full House, and let's see if anyone will
watch it".
Do you guys agree with my friend, even a little bit?

Skaterin short, me ex and i havent been talking for about 5 months, give or take
well, weve been on and off talking on the phone, and msn, but its never the same in person
its like thers a wall or smth, sometimes its tension, sometimes its akwardness
shes one of those types that dont really like talking about personal stuff, eg relationships
almost all of my friends tell me to approach her and talk to her, but it feels like whenever i try to do so,
she doesnt respond, or she doesnt rly continue the conversation, whether its on the phone or on msn
i heard from her friends that she wants to be friends, but i dont really think tahts the case, i dont think shes trying hard enough, or if she is, its not showing. do any of you think its possible for us to be friends after (we broke up in late april, short relationship)?, and what are the kinds of things that i should do, or how should i act around her, etc.
thanks a bunch
